ABOUT WE COMMIT CAMPAIGN
The WE COMMIT campaign is a call-to-action for private sector companies, enterprises and employers’ organizations, stock exchanges, pension funds and wealth management funds with the aim to sign and deepen implementation of the Women's Empowerment Principles (WEPs).
The campaign also calls upon Allies from the next generation of workers (youth/university students) who will be entering into the labour market and can demand that their future employers have responsible business practices including through signing and implementing the WEPs.
OBJECTIVES
#WeCommit campaign aims to expand the WEPs community to advance responsible business conduct towards the irreversible achievement of gender equality and women’s empowerment in the world of work. Businesses have a stake in, and a responsibility for, gender equality and women’s empowerment. And we know that EQUALITY MEANS BUSINESS so that there is a win-win for individuals, societies and economies.
#WeCommit launches as the world is demanding more equality and justice and as consumers and workers are calling for more value-based decision-making and social values of anti-racism, non-discrimination and gender equality.
JOIN WE COMMIT
By saying #WeCommit and signing the WEPs, you will align yourself with companies around the world who are speaking up, taking action and making an impact while being offered support, tools and resources along the way.
