The Women’s Empowerment Principles Forum is restricted to pre-registered participants only). Special event badges, required to enter the United Nations premises, can be picked up at the address below. Participants must carry a government-issued photo ID to pick up their event badges. Please note that the badges cannot be picked up by anyone else than the confirmed Forum participant, unless prior written notice has been provided to the organizers.

To collect the badge and ensure adequate time to clear security, pre-registered participants are requested to register and pick up their badges:

Badges must be picked up at this location before entering the United Nations premises.

Participants must carry a government-issued photo ID (driver’s license or passport) to collect their badges. Ensure that the name used when registering for the event is the same as on your ID.

Please note that badges will only be issued to confirmed and pre-registered Women’s Empowerment Principles Forum participants and will not be issued to additional staff or other accompanying persons.


Badges cannot be collected by someone on behalf of a confirmed Forum participant unless prior written notice has been provided to the organizers at weps@unwomen.org.


United Nations Security will not grant any exceptions.


Please note that you will need an events badge for the 2019 Women’s Empowerment Principles Forum to enter the ECOSOC Chamber even though you may have registered for other CSW side events. The events badge for the Women’s Empowerment Principles Forum is only good for the duration of the Forum.


The Forum will be held in the ECOSOC Chamber at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. All confirmed and pre-registered participants with a valid event badge for the Forum must enter through the entrance on 46th Street and First Avenue.

The entrance to the ECOSOC Chamber is located on the third level of the Conference Building. Kindly note that food and drinks are prohibited in the ECOSOC Chamber.


Going through security can take time since we expect thousands of participants for the 63rd session of the Commission on the Status of Women. We recommend that you arrive at the entrance to the United Nations no later than 2:00 pm. Please note that luggage and large bags are not permitted.


There will be open seating in the ECOSOC Chamber.

CSW Participation

Travel and Accommodation

Please note that the organizers are unable to assist with accommodation, travel or visa applications.

Dress Code

Participants are encouraged to wear business attire.
