Be Fit and Self-Empowered

Fitness makes our body healthy and a healthy body contains a healthy mind. A healthy mind is confident, stable and ready to cope with any type of pressure or stress in life.

Let me share my story. Two years ago, I didn’t do regular exercise and I failed to cope with stress and all the pressures in my personal life and career. I was so ignorant about my health and diet too.

Now, even though many situations in my personal and business life are worse, I can stay happy, stress free, unstoppable and self-motivated. And for that, I will give 30 % of the credit to my fitness routines.

My energy levels are high. I have become more confident and can cope with any type of stress that I face as an entrepreneur. I am very firm about my decisions and, although some situations are not favourable for me, I can try to go all out to achieve my career goals.

I am not saying I have achieved my goals. However, although the journey to reach my destination is very difficult, it has become very enjoyable. My capacity to learn and to deal with criticism has dramatically increased. I can stay cool and can take any bad situation in positive way.

Being fit make us more energetic; more positive about life; more flexible and confident. Gym or Surya Namaskar yoga are the best ways for me to keep fit, but you must choose whatever you enjoy – whether it is sport, swimming, or dancing. The more energetic you are, the more easily you can balance your personal and work life. You can manage your time better and multi-task if necessary. Life is more fun because you are full of energy.

But, let me be clear – you can’t count the physical labour you do as part of your job as exercise; that is exertion. Effective exercising is something that you love to do. And, in your daily diet, you must stop or cut down on oily and unhealthy food.

Your exercise will be even more beneficial if you couple it with meditation. It will boost your confidence and make you more self-empowered. You will forget all your depressions, stresses and negative thinking. If you and your partner do this, your sex life will get better. When you are fit, there are only positive things in your life.

Take my advice and see the magic of exercise. Age will become just number for you, and I am sure that you will share your experiences to inspire others.

And if you find that your way of getting fit isn’t giving you all these benefits, the answer is simple – try a different type of exercise.

It is the endorphins our bodies release after exercising that give us a feel good effect. No matter what circumstances we face in the day, exercises keep our spirits and optimism high. You are so right Manisha.

Manisha, I could not agree more. I am a sales person and stress is over the roof every day. It is impossible to contain all the energy and stress just by going to bed early. Exercising also helps to think clearer, out of the stress and the daily routine.  " Mens Sana in corpore sano" which literally means in order to have a good balance you both need to take care of your mind and your body, is not a cliche'. Even a stroll of 30 minutes per day can change your attitude toward problems, how you see life and relationship with the people around yourself. Being fitter also leads to a higher self esteem, as serotonin is released into your body and you naturally feel better. If you feel better, you will also interact better with your environment and inevitably you'll live happier lives. Let's trash junk food and let's dedicate at least 30 minutes every day to ourselves and our body. We all deserve it! #EmpowerWomenRally
