True WarriorsWEE is the source of all other power

Kenya

This week, I was in Marsabit county where I met TRUE WARRIORS; those at war daily - fighting the victimization that our culture propagates, in a subtle but steady way, they are denouncing discrimination & social injustices within the communities. The fearless ladies braving societal norms & breaking the silence on the practices that infringe highly on the rights of children. They work tirelessly so that the children’s voices are heard, their rights protected & justice is served. They do it so gracefully, using minimal resources, knowing that if they don’t, the bigger battle is lost. As I spoke to EVA founder- Indigenous Resource Management Organization (IREMO), she believes that ‘Women Economic Empowerment is the source of all other powers, through WEE we can tackle all other issues’ FELLOW CHAMPS, we are on the right track but the battle is not only virtual. I salute these ladies for the good work and I encourage you, this work is not for the faint-hearted!! Be counted & get to work
