A bilateral amputee from a freak bomb blast in 2002, Malvika is a Women In The World Emerging Leader, Motivational/ TEDx Speaker, Social Worker, Disability Rights Activist and a model for accessible clothing. She is working to spread awareness on disability and an inclusive society and the need to change societal attitudes and perceptions towards individuals with disability. She was one among the 100 Change Agents and Newsmakers of the decade (Deccan Chronicle). She was a speaker at CIVICUS World Assembly (South Africa), AGENDA (Jakarta), Sustainable Valley Festival (Norway), TEDxYouth@Chennai, TEDx IIM Kozhikode, IEEE WIE Leadership Summit.
