Bio
"Let us not be ashamed to speak what we shame not to think"
2016-2017 Champion for Change @ Empower Women
Received her BA from Koç University studying both Psychology and Sociology (2015). She worked as an intern at BEYMEN, NADİS Training and Consultancy, TOÇEV and APCO Worldwide. Her interest in gender issues started with her internship at the Women Entrepreneurs Association of Turkey and after she became the campus leader of Turkish Women’s International Network. She finds great excitement on academic research and worked as an undergraduate research assistant for different projects. She participated in the Erasmus Program and moved to Netherlands. She studied at Tilburg University for 6 months. After graduating, she worked at the Gender and Women's Studies Research Center for 1 year. She went to India for 6 weeks in order to work on a project called MULAN, which aims to spread awareness on women rights and empower underprivileged women. Currently, she is a graduate student at the University of Chicago focusing gender and sexuality studies.
