Bio
Ralph Waldo Emerson — Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.
I was born in China and adopted at the age of nine months. I grew up in Canada and attended university at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. I have started various environmental campaigns and a microenterprise program to empower women in Peru. I have also worked for the World Economic Forum and UNESCO, as well as Fortune 500 companies and social enterprise startups. I am passionate about technology, business strategy, and global innovation – how companies can gain a competitive advantage through new approaches to solving problems and civil society can leverage new knowledge networks across industries, geographies, and cultures. I am fascinated by the intersection of disparate disciplines and the power of collaboration. Over the past few years, I have received honors as one of The Next 36 entrepreneurs, Top 25 Environmentalists Under 25, Top 20 Under 20 young leaders in Canada, and recipient of a Students on Ice Scholarship to travel to Antarctica on a learning expedition.
