‘Building Women in Communities to build the Nation’
I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Demography and Social Statistics from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria, Master of Science degree in Medical Sociology, PhD in Population Studies from University of Ado-Ekiti, Nigeria, and a Master’s of Public Health from Argosy University, Minnesota. I co-founded the African Foundation for Economic Growth and Empowerment, a Non-Governmental Organization registered in the USA and Nigeria, with a focus on women economic empowerment in both Nigeria and US. I am a recipient of the American Association of University Women International Fellowship in 2013 and was hosted at the Minnesota Population Center, University of Minnesota. Presently, I direct the Registered Apprenticeship program at Progressive Individual Resources Inc. in Minnesota. The emphasis of my work is on the interface of supporting, nurturing and empowering women in communities through mobilizing and maximizing the use of available resources, technology and innovation.
