Educating a girl child is a smart business
Am, Abiodun Essiet, the founder of Abiodun Essiet initiative for girls Nigeria, committed in empowering women and promoting girl child education which was established 6 years ago. Am also part of the board members of strong enough girls empowerment initiatives a non governmental organization in Nigeria and Kenya with a vision to promote girl child education in Africa
Background- am a nurse , I specialized in public health with masters in health promotion and education, I am also a graduate of Coady international institution Canada with a certificate on community leadership by women. Currently am doing online course with Geneva foundation on medical research and education to improve my knowledge on sexual issues facing women and youth.
According to Beijing platform for action 1995 , it is important for women to have equal right in leadership and development so that issues related to women can be addressed well. I created a network for young African women, to mentor them on leadership
