Apply to Be on the Youth Jury for the 2020 G7-EU WEPs Award
As we aim to influence and positively impact the world of work with the United Nation’s seven Women’s Empowerment Principles, we would like to take this opportunity to also shed light on the future of work and the future workforce by inviting young women from a G7 and/or EU Member States to be on our panel for the 2020 G7-EU WEPs Award.
THE PURPOSE OF YOUTH JURY
We will assess the companies and organizations that apply to the Award in two phases. In the first phase a UN Women team will go through all applications and shortlist five in each category.
In this second phase, these shortlisted companies and organizations will be sent to the Youth Jury for review. The Youth Jury will make their assessment based on the three criteria (impact, innovation and transformation), and base their final decision with help of the guiding question, “Which of these companies/organizations would I like to work for in the future”?
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Women 35 years old or younger
- Based in a G7 country or EU Member State
- Previous work in gender equality and women’s empowerment, such as the Women’s Empowerment Principles
- Individuals who are comfortable speaking publicly during a Zoom live event.
HOW MUCH TIME AM I EXPECTED TO PUT IN?
We ask for the jury members to contribute with 10-15 hours during the last week of November (23-27) and to be available to participate in our event on 10 December when the winners of the Award will be announced and presented during a live stream.
