This is very much the situation I find myself in. I had opportunity of volunteering to teach adult literacy classes and the satisfaction it gave me was out of this world. I am really at crossroads now but I believe in good quality of life I need to move to grow in my life.

Thank you so much for your comments, i would say that the actual result after discussing this matter long time; that most people doesn't like what they are doing, but doing a volunteering makes every thing easier. I mean it's so much fun and lead to great happiness is to volunteer for something you love. it's the right track that every one should pursue. and my suggestion and advice to myself before any one else is to volunteer and i wanted to quote from     H. Jackson Brown Jr.  “Remember that the happiest people are not those getting more, but those giving more.”

    Hello Nada,

Sorry to hear of your bad experience. All I can say is, honestly go with your heart. We spend so much time at work and to not enjoy it only leads to misery. I would suggest taking time to consider what exactly you want out of a career first and then start working towards that. I say this because you may take another job and end up in the same position again. So, this may be a golden opportunity for you to self reflect and forge a new path. I hope that helps. I have taken jobs I thought were mine only because I was in love with an idea. Sometimes we like an idea so much tat we pursue it, once it become real, we realize it is not what we wanted. I followed my heart and am much happier now and I do work that I am so passionate about that I would do it in my sleep and unpaid. That is how much I love it. I wish the same for you.

Good luck to you Nada, let us know how it goes.

    Hello!

I am sorry to hear about your dilemma.

I suggest you read a good article titled "Are You Sure You Want to Leave Your Job?" by Arthur Steinmetz in the World Economic Forum.

    Hello Nada,

Work environment matters a lot for anyone and being a woman, it becomes extra important. I would suggest that if you are not liking the working environment, then you should try to talk your employers about it or to the concerned department. It may help you in solving your problem and saving you job as well.

If you see that the environment is still the same and the employer is not taking much interest regarding your issue, then you should feel free about leaving it. Because your comfort zone should not  be compromised at any cost!
