Ethiopian to Operate an All-Women Functioned Flight
Ethiopian Airlines will operate an All- Women functioned flight on the Addis Ababa – Bangkok route on November 19, 2015. This exceptional service in Ethiopian history is aimed at manifesting Ethiopian’s corporate belief of ‘Women Empowerment for sustainable growth’.
This unique flight will be operated fully by an all-female Ethiopian crew led by female flight deck crew members with senior female executives of the Airline on board. Other on ground preparations such as Cabin Operations, Airport Operations, Flight Dispatcher, Load Controller, Ramp Operations, On- board Logistics, Aviation Safety and Security, Ticket Offices, Catering as well as Air Traffic Control will also be conducted by females.

As and Ethiopian i feel so proud and happy to see this. Its really great to see Ethiopia develop in empowering women. I look forward to seeing other changes.
Congratulations Ethiopia for having produced trained women technicians. In Nepal, we don't still have well equipped human resource to operate an all women flight. Nepal has to definitely learn from Ethiopia. I hope this will set an example for the other countries to produce capable human resource in every sector.
