I have learned over the years that I am most happy when I can encourage people through my career, my social networks, my faith, and friendships. Being an immigrant to the U.S. helped me to see things from an "outsider", and shaped my conviction that it is essential to listen to other points of view and encourage discussion. Understanding each other is essential for creating positive impact. My mother greatly inspires me even though I have lost her eight years ago. I learned how to be more brave after taking risks, failing, and surviving. It's in getting back up that we become true champions.
