NEUThe Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media has partnered with New Engineering University (NEU), composed of a team of innovators and globally recognized technology and educational leaders to develop programs designed to foster unmatched diversity in engineering education and deliver an industry-connected experience to meet hiring needs in growing sectors of the economy.

As part of the partnership, NEU is awarding the Geena Davis Institute five full-tuition scholarships, worth $20,000 each, to be awarded to aspiring female engineers. The first program is targeted to be a one-year Master of Engineering degree in Big Data to be offered at a Maker space-like facility in Palo Alto, Calif, in early 2014. To be eligible, students must either have a BS in engineering, or equivalent experience, with a demonstrated interest in the Big Data field, and a willingness to re-locate to California.
